Beckett loves his baths!!

Uncle Brenton and Grandma Dianna came to visit.

A few weekends ago Uncle Brenton and Grandma Dianna came to visit for a few days. Brenton hadn't seen Beckett since he was born. Of course Beckett got spoiled by the both of them! Brenton got Beckett a Jordon outfit for this summer! He also volunteered to babysit Beckett so he could pick up chicks at the mall, the only problem is he doesn't change dirty diapers! Looks like he won't be getting any chicks for a while!!

Long time no see.....

First we wanted to apologize to everyone who checks the blog frequently that we haven't updated it recently. It has been a little crazy around the house. Beckett is still fighting a cold (we are on our 4th week of it). We have to go to the doctor once a week to have him checked for RSV. He has tested negative every time, but he isn't getting any better so the doctor gave us an antibiotic to hopefully clear it up faster.

Beckett is growing up so fast, he now weighs 10lbs 9oz (he has gained 4 pounds total!) He has started to smiling and coo at us and is developing a little personality (which is what one of the videos is of).

Next week will be hard, as I am going back to subbing and Beckett will start day care. We are lucky that the day care I use to work at had an opening, he will definitely be a spoiled boy!

We will try to do a better job updating the blog! We love and miss you all!

Baptism..

Beckett was baptized this past weekend on January 11th in South Sioux at St.Micheal's church, where Brian and I were married and where I received all of my sacraments. We chose Grandpa Joe and Grandma Tracy to be his Godparents as they have guided me through the church teaching me values and traditions.

Beckett wore a gown which is an heirloom past now from my Great Grandpa Keefer (Becketts Great Great Grandpa). The gown is over 110 years old and has been worn by the majority of all the grand kids to be baptized in.

Road Trip!

This past weekend we had our first road trip with Beckett. We headed up to South Sioux for an eventful weekend, and got a little more than we bargained for! When we left Kansas it was a beautiful sunny 60 degree day, little did we know what exactly we were driving into. We were about 20 miles out side of Council Bluffs and it started snowing and the wind picked up, as we got closer to CB the roads got worse to where semi trucks were driving slow! After about 45+ mins of driving 40mph and under we decided it would be best if we stayed the night in a hotel! The best news of our drive was that Beckett slept the whole way! Not a peep from the little man! The next morning as we were driving to South Sioux we saw 14+ cars in the ditch from Omaha to SSC. We are so thankful the lord was watching over us and that we stayed the night in Council Bluffs.

Thankfully the rest of the weekend went well, as we attended a wedding, Baptized Beckett and celebrated Karter'sBirthday!

Uncle Pat and Beckett ** Go Broncos!**

Great Grandpa Gene... he couldn't get enough of him!

Grandpa Joe lovin on Beckett

Great Grandma Keefer

Grandpa Don singing the Cowboy song to Beckett! Already trying to corrupt his little mind!

Sicky Icky...

Our little man had not been sleeping well and was extremely stuffed up. So after a few days of no sleep and continuously using the booger sucker, we did decided we should see the doctor to make sure it wasn't more than a cold. As of now he has a virus that is going around, nothing to be concerned about just need to keep doing what we are doing! He did get weighed and is now 8lbs 10oz! We can't believe how fast he gains weight, he is growing like a weed!

Please keep our family in your prayers for Beckett to get over his cold and for us to get some rest!!!

Holiday pounds......

We are thrilled to announce that Beckett is weighing in at 8lbs and 3oz, the holiday eating paid off for one of us! We are attending a breast feeding support group every Monday night, so we are able to keep track of his growth! We will keep everyone posted as he grows!

Auntie Jana comes to visit!

Jana came down to visit this week to help out while Brian went back to work. It was so nice to have her here and to have some girl time as well!! Beckett sure enjoyed cuddling in her arms as she rocked him and snuggled with him!

Thanks for coming Auntie Jana! Love and miss you!!

Dad goes back to work!

Well, we are three days in to the first week Brian had to go back to work and it's going well!! First of all Beckett has been sleeping from 9pm-4:30am for the past three nights (I know I just jinxed us for bragging that he has been sleeping through the night!). Of course I wake up every couple of hours to check on him, so I'm not getting rest but the boys are! With him sleeping through the night we are finally getting a routine down! Brian and Beckett rock to sleep each night together. It's so sweet to see my too skinny boys asleep in the chair!

Happy New Year!

We wish you a Happy New Year, and hope 2009 brings everyone joy and happiness. Reflecting on 2008, it was an eventful year for us. We did a lot of traveling to visit our families on either side of Nebraska, celebrated our 1 year anniversary, moved to a bigger place and brought a little one into the world. We don't know what 2009 could bring but we know the lord will bless it.

Beckett is becoming more alert, he is checking out dad as he talks to him!

Dad and Beckett bringing in the New Year,
with a midnight feeding!!

For those of your who want to know how Beckett's doing, we have big news!! We are so proud of him, because he is now wearing stage one diapers! No more newborns for his skinny butt!!!
